Privacy Policy.

Mag Networks Ltd ("Mag Networks", "we") operates magnet.ke and provides fibre internet and MagNet WiFi hotspots in Nairobi. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. Questions: connect@magnet.ke.

What we collect

When you submit a form (contact, coverage request, or support ticket) we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, and — if you give it — email address, plus the building, street, or shop details relevant to your request.

For security and abuse prevention we store a one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address — never the raw IP — along with your browser user-agent and, where present, basic campaign (UTM) parameters from the link you arrived through.

We do not collect payment information on this website. Hotspot vouchers are paid via M-Pesa on the captive portal, governed separately.

Why we use it

Solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange installation or support, and improve our coverage planning. We contact you by WhatsApp, phone, or email using the details you provide. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

How long we keep it

Lead and support records are retained for up to 24 months from your last contact, after which they are deleted or anonymised, unless we are required to retain them longer by law.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run our systems: our database host (Neon), transactional email (Resend), and team notifications (Telegram). Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection and Google Maps to display coverage.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time. Email connect@magnet.ke or WhatsApp us and we’ll action it within a reasonable period.
